Ultherapy® uses micro focused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect within the deep fascia and the intermediate dermis for dynamic re-toning of the face, neck and chest.  

This focused thermal effect creates some immediate toning or “non-invasive lifting” of your current tissues and also jump-starts your body’s own process to create fresh, new collagen and elastin within your skin and connective tissues. 

An Ultrasound transducer is used, and a live ultrasound guides the physician to direct micro-focused ultrasound waves to these deepest connective tissue layers. 

For some, the procedure can be mildly uncomfortable. The sensation is temporary — like a prickly, stinging sensation in a few places while the ultrasound is being delivered — but there is no lasting discomfort.

Just about anyone! Men and women who have mild-to-moderate face, brow, or neck sagging see the most dramatic results. For those with severe sagging, it cannot replicate the results of a facelift, but patients with severe sagging will see improvements with Ulthera. 

Ultherapy is a proven treatment with a well-established safety profile as long as providers adhere to the established guidelines regarding how frequently to offer treatment.  Microfocused Ultrasound is very powerful and carries risk to the tissues if treatments are spaced too close together.  It is safe but must be used by responsible, cautious medical

Pricing is driven by the Ultrasound transducer cost and how many pulses are required to treat a given area.  Average costs for each area (upper face, lower face, neck, chest) range from $400 to $1200 each area depending on number of pulses and whether one or two depths are used for treatment. 

There may be slight redness that typically resolves within a few hours following the treatment. Some patients may have slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature.
