Genityte

Testimonials From Real Patients

The names of the patients telling their story are not disclosed, but the following was taken from verbal testimonials transcribed verbatim.

“Twice I had surgery for the leaking, and twice it failed. First I had a bladder suspension that failed and next I tried a surgery to give the urethra support, called ‘the sling’ and this failed too. What I planned to do in retirement was be active and travel, instead, I avoided exercise and outings to keep my dignity. I had four Genityte™ procedures in four days. After just one week I was completely dry (both day and night). This new medical procedure gave me my life back.”
Age 65, no children

"I am a young, active mother who has had to give up running, softball and golfing with my family because of severe leaking. After three Genityte™ procedures I got back 100% of my urinary control and the freedom to run, golf and play softball with my children. I am so happy and grateful to be back to me."
Age 45, mother of three

"No way would I have surgery for stress incontinence, it scared me. However, when I understood that I could get the help that I needed without surgery, I didn’t hesitate to have the Genityte procedure. After the second Genityte procedure the leaking completely stopped."
Age 58, mother of two

"The urge to go was so strong and so frequent that when I felt the urge I had to stop everything and find a bathroom immediately. In one afternoon I would visit the bathroom up to eight times for my urges, but each time only a small amount would come out. Now, after Genityte, when I have to go it is because I actually have a full bladder.
Age 39, mother of three

"Bracing yourself or crossing your legs before a cough or a sneeze becomes a must to avoid leaking. It wasn’t until I had the Genityte treatments and got back urinary control that I realized that there was a long list of things I had given up over the years to avoid the embarrassment and hassle of leaking. But after Genityte™ I no longer leak on my way to the bathroom with a full bladder or leak or dribble immediately after I urinate."
Age 42, mother of two

"I didn’t tell anyone about my urinary incontinence out of extreme embarrassment not my husband, not my doctor, not even my best friend. After I had my first baby, somehow, I thought that over time everything was going to go back to normal, but with every baby the dribbling got worse. On my first Genityte™ I had immediate improvement of urinary control. I had to fight back tears, I was so grateful. I hope now that women will tell other women that Genityte™ is available to treat their incontinence so the price of having babies doesn’t have to be giving up living an active life.”
Age 41, mother of two

"I think everyone should have the benefit of Genityte™ and know it is possible to have resolution of stress urinary incontinence, not just make it less, but make it go away. Genityte™ can give a woman back some control for her bladder and for her life!"
Age 37, mother of two

"I did Genityte™ and the first time it worked for me, the first day. It is not invasive; it is not painful at all."
Age 55, mother of four

"I don’t think people want expensive and invasive surgery. If there were risks, I wouldn’t have done it. It’s good to know that Genityte is a really simple, inexpensive procedure.
Age 31, mother of two

“Far less need to rush to the bathroom when the urge to urinate happens. Also do not get up in the middle of the night to urinate. Much improved.”
Age 77, mother of three

“Being in a fast-paced, busy work environment I became accustomed to putting off using the restroom until it was absolutely necessary.  I began to notice urgency and sometimes was not able to make it to the restroom.  Having watched my mother go through four unsuccessful operations for urinary incontinence, I was determined to find something better than surgery.  By chance I saw Dr. Reil on ‘The Doctors’ introducing Genityte and felt my search was over.  Since having Genityte treatments from Dr. Reil, I no longer suffer from stress or urgency and I am able to jog, exercise strenuously…actually do anything without thought of leaking. Genityte is, in my opinion, the wisest decision a woman of any age can make.  The procedure is absolutely painless.  There is no downtime and no lost work days with this procedure.  Most importantly, Genityte is safe and totally arrests the stress, urgency and incontinence.  I cannot imagine why anyone would choose any other way to heal their body.  It’s Amazing!  Simply stated, Genityte works!!”
Age 45

“I feel like a new woman!  There is no adjective adequate to describe the depth of gratitude I feel to have “normal” bladder function and a noticeable hemorrhoid reduction.  I now go about life free from worry of embarrassing leakage or rectal bleeding.  When I remember the before (how quickly we forget), a renewed rush of gratitude fills me!  The procedure Dr. Reil has perfected is a huge gift to women.  The atmosphere in the clinic is one of compassion and dignity, a reflection of Dr. Reil. Thank You!”
Age 61

"Genityte has indeed improved my quality of life. I no longer worry about finding a bathroom when out and about. I can be more active. Intercourse was painful before Genityte, now there is no rubbing and I can again enjoy sex. Seems like my supporting muscle are improving instead of getting worse, as before Genityte.”
Age 56

“After 3 children and a complete hysterectomy at 35 I have gradually been facing a leaking bladder - when I exercise, laugh or sneeze. Wanting to find an option to get me by for a few more years (before I have my prolapsed bladder lifted) I decided to give Genityte a try. I have been extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend.”
Age 49

“The cystocele was returned to an immobile and non-protruding state within 2-3 treatments. This procedure is miraculous! Without surgery pain and downtown the cystocele and urge and leakage was totally reversed. To address these issues with surgery is unthinkable, ineffective and in my opinion, insane. My mother has had 4 vaginal TVT slings and she still has the problems. Thank you Dr. Reil!!! U R awesome!! P.S. I would highly recommend Genityte, to treat prolapse and/or urinary and rectal incontinence, to any woman who suffers from these annoying and embarrassing conditions. It is inconceivable that physicians would subject their patients to surgery when Genityte is non-invasive, pain-free and most importantly 100% effective…!”
Age 43

“Although I am not yet 100% improved, I fully appreciate the increased ability to hold my urine twice as long as before treatment. I have had to rush to the bathroom between classes in the past, but now I don’t even have the urge to go until at least 3 hours have passed. I can once again actually feel the sensation of holding a Kegel; whereas, before I could not really tell whether or not I was doing one. My pelvic floor tissue and muscles are thicker and tighter. I just have a few more sessions that will wipe out that sneaky leak in one out of 6 surprise sneezes.”
Age 55

“Surgery was definitely not on my list of cures for my incontinence dilemma. Fortunately, I had heard about Genityte, a new nonsurgical procedure, developed and presented by Dr. Reil on the DOCTORS TV program. I felt strongly that this was the answer to my problem. Within a very short time, I made the necessary arrangements and three weeks later traveled to Billings, MT. When I arrived at the clinic, immediately, I was made to feel like “part of the team effort” not only to resolve my issues, but to collect data for the betterment of women globally. I truly appreciated the time spent to explain the results (including pre/post pictures) of every treatment in great detail. After three treatments, both functional and cosmetic benefits were evident. However, in my case, I fell short of attaining my treatment goal and will return for additional treatments. Genityte is an important medical achievement that will give millions of female patients a second chance to live a normal life, free of an incontinence handicap.”
Age 62

“I feel the procedure is a miracle. I was wearing a pad 24/7. I now wear one when I am going to be out for the afternoon or evening. Dr. Reil and her staff are so thorough in explaining the procedure. I was never “rushed”. The experience was more than worth it.”
Age 81

“Ever since the birth of my son in 1999 I have had to wear a panty liner primarily due to fecal incontinence. I had a fourth degree tear during his birth. The only person I told about this embarrassing problem was my OB who said “well I didn’t do anything wrong.” I suffered with nearly daily fecal incontinence for nearly 11 years. I was constantly worried about odor and cleanliness. Since my initial 2 treatments I experience incontinence rarely, maybe 1-2 times per month and only scant amounts! Thanks for giving me my life back!”
Age 44

“I feel as though I’m able to do the things I love with greater confidence and enjoy peace of mind that I won’t suffer an embarrassing ‘accident’. I can enjoy riding my horse, playing basketball, wakeboarding, snowboarding all without worrying about leaking or wearing enormous pads for protection. My husband and I also enjoy a more ‘pleasurable’ sex life, too. I’m not worried about any accidental leaking which helps but the sensation in general is better too! I would recommend to my family and friends without hesitation!”
Age 38

“I had frequent loss of control of stool and urine before my Genityte treatments. It was a constant worry because I never knew when it would happen. My doctor did not understand how great the problem was for me. The compassion and understanding I found at Genityte treatments and education was very comforting and helpful. I have never before experienced such loving and supportive care for me as a woman. I will never be able to thank you enough.”
Age 72

“It is nice not to have to worry about being near a facility with a bathroom. The urinary urgency is gone. With beyond kegels I have the ability to at least control the need to get to a toilet immediately. I am glad I will not have to grow older and be incontinent!” Patient Age 63
“Genityte procedure requires: No downtime - freedom to exercise without use of bulky pads. Don’t have to carry pads in purse and have airport security touch and see! Sneeze and cough without leaking. No surgical procedure to prepare and recover from, freedom - no worrying about odors, no longer looking for bathroom locations, no longer limiting fluid intake, “Freedom to Live”! You give up slowly and soon you don’t realize how much you’ve given up and changed your life to hide the embarrassment of involuntary leaking. It steals your life and freedom.”

Patient Story #1
“When I heard about Dr. Reil’s new procedure I said, “Oh, Gosh, that’s fabulous, that’s better than anything! You can give a woman back some control for her bladder and her life! Even when I was running High School Track occasionally I would have a little problem with leaking urine. But after my first baby it was significantly worse. After my second baby it was much worse. I couldn’t even run or jog or play with kids. I didn’t tell my husband. I didn’t tell anyone until recently my girlfriend said ‘I just wish I could run on the treadmill without feeling I’m peeing my pants’. Then another girlfriend admitted she had to stop exercising because of urinary incontinence.

I was kind of surprised that urinary incontinence affected so many in my close circle of friends. We are all moms. We all have shared our labor stories but we don’t talk about the ‘what comes after’. It seems like most women, once you start talking about it, have some urinary stress incontinence either from childbirth or other reasons. I think women don’t talk about it because elderly people are incontinent of urine and there’s definitely a stigma. I couldn’t even swing a golf club or do a round of golf without taking a potty break and changing a panty liner. I had to plan ahead and make sure before we started that I had a panty liner in my pocket. I found ways to just kind of go around it. I didn’t do the things that caused me problems. I didn’t run on the treadmill, I didn’t work out. It wasn’t worth it to me to pee my pants. But sneezing, I learned to brace myself and empty my bladder on a regular basis. It’s not like I had, when I had to go, I had to go! It was more when I was skiing, you turn and use those abdominal muscles, then I would have a problem. It wasn’t urgency, it was dribbling. But once you start, watch out, you know?

When I told my husband about Genityte™ and said I wanted to participate he said he didn’t know I had a problem. So I explained to him and he said ‘yes, if it will help’. He actually said that his friend’s wife has this problem. He knew because his friend had told him…so the men were talking. I was impressed because my husband actually called up his friend and told him that Genityte™ was available.

They always teach people to do Kegel exercises, tightening and all that. When I did those initially there was like no muscle before I had the Genityte™ procedures. Surgery is not anything that I ever wanted to do. I would just live with it and go on. But when Dr. Reil told me that you could walk out the same day, no discomfort, no pain or anything, I said, ‘Well, I have nothing to lose’. After Genityte™ I raved about my results. Now I can do Kegel exercises. What a difference in my life! I think everyone should have the same benefits and know it is possible to have the resolution of stress urinary incontinence, not just make it less, but it goes away. Just an example, we went skiing on New Years and it wasn’t until the end of the day that I stopped and realized I only had one bathroom break. I didn’t think about having to go to the bathroom. I didn’t think about stopping and I was completely dry after a hard day of skiing and drinking beer. For me to not even have thought about it was so liberating. I had no pain or discomfort during the procedures or after. Shaving myself was the worst part, I think, but it wasn’t terrible.

After the second and third Genityte™ treatments I noticed a difference in sex. There was more sensation, it was like sex used to be before I had kids. It was way more fun just because there was more sensation and stimulation and stronger orgasms. My husband didn’t notice the difference from his perspective other than I was enjoying it more. I told one friend who then had Genityte™ done and now she has been telling other people. You know the circle is kind of extending out. So it’s kind of a ripple effect.

I want women to be open to the idea of having Genityte™because really, other than a little money you have nothing to lose and you have so much to gain. You can gain that freedom back to do the things you used
to like to do.

Patient Story #2
“After having four kids, my youngest daughter couldn’t understand why every time I walked through the front door I had to run to the bathroom. I had leaking and dribbling as well as when I had to go, I need the bathroom! I just always made sure I went to the bathroom before I went anywhere. Sometimes it was inconvenient. I always went to the bathroom first and just watched how much I drank. I just kind of made some adjustments. I did Kegel exercises. You know it helps some, I think it always helps some, but it wasn’t enough. I did Genityte™ and the first time it worked for me, the first day. When I went home it didn’t feel swollen or anything like that, you could just tell something was done. A couple of hours later I had to go to the bathroom and I said, ‘I have the urge to go to the bathroom, and look, I’m not running to the bathroom, you guys!’.

Before Genityte™ urinary incontinence is something I had to think about, now, it’s not something I have to think about. I know that I can wait now, and if you know you can just take a second to stop and stand still and hold it for a second, then you can go on. You just gotta get past the urge then you can go on. It’s like a spasm. I also like that the feel for me is better without skin hanging. It’s not something you sit around and talk about, you know. But my friends we’re very open. I don’t think we have a very normal relationship, I think it is very open. So I told a woman that I work with who I knew had the problem, ‘you gotta go try this’. I said at least go and talk to Dr. Reil and see if it is something you want, because she was thinking about getting bladder surgery, the whole nine yards. I want people to know Genityte™ is worth trying to see if it works because it may help one person and not help another. But it is not invasive, it’s not painful at all. You know if you get out of it the benefits of the sexual side effects or even just better control it’s going to help you.

Patient Story #3
“After I had my first baby, somehow I thought that over time everything was going to go back to normal. Maybe after my period came back or I finished breastfeeding. I expected the leaking that I had while I was pregnant would go away but with any kind of straining, like picking up my baby I would leak and when I tried to get back into shape and began trying to run, every couple of steps I would dribble. One day I went to jump on the trampoline and with every jump I leaked and it was so embarrassing because it happened at a family barbeque and I totally wet myself. I made up some excuse because I had to leave quickly to go change my pants. I was humiliated. I went on to have a second baby and things didn’t get worse they just stayed bad.

I didn’t tell anyone about my urinary incontinence out of extreme embarrassment…not my husband, not my doctor, not even my best friend. Kegel exercises were a joke for me, because I couldn’t even contract the muscles because the muscles were so weak and stretched out. And I really did try to do them faithfully after my first baby was born. On my first Genityte photo, you could see the pee hole (the urethra) was wide open and it is supposed to be closed.

My vagina was saggy and like two or three inches wide and my skin was saggy. Immediately after that first treatment my pee hole was closed, my vaginal opening was almost with sides touching and the skin was much tighter. I had to fight back tears, I was so grateful. Maybe I’m just lucky because it was like a miracle for me.

After my very first Genityte I stopped leaking when I run. My bladder can be really full and I can make it to the toilet and get my pants down before I start to pee. Also, I no longer dribble when I stand up after peeing. I can do Kegels very well now. Over 10 years since I had my babies and I am doing Kegels faithfully and getting back muscle tone up inside my vagina! After my second Genityte, my vaginal opening went back together and it used to gape open almost 3 inches. Things feel tucked back in and supported.

I would say before Genityte that I had excellent sexual desire and satisfaction and I even thought I was lucky compared to other women. But after my second Genityte with the vaginal opening back together I realize that now sex has more sensation, like before I had babies. My vagina had just stretched out when I had babies and I had got used to it. I am sure my husband noticed or felt the change, but he was too kind to say anything. For years I didn’t speak about my problem. I hope now that Genityte is available that women will tell other women to treat their incontinence so the price of having babies doesn’t have to be giving up living an active life.”

Patient Story #4
“I think this is such an embarrassing subject for women. I think as a woman you think there is a part of life that you decide to have children, you get stretch marks, you get all these things that happen to you and it’s just something that you try to accept. I knew that things aren’t like they used to be before kids. If I was in water or any kind of bathtub I would go. My muscles weren’t strong or tight enough and throughout the day I would feel water leaking out.

I am someone who had children young and didn’t want pregnancy to affect her whole life. I had never talked to my physician about this. I didn’t think I would ever talk about it, except I felt really comfortable with Dr. Reil and her nurses. But if it got to the point where you would have to go to the bathroom all the time I’m sure you’d go and get medical attention. I wasn’t at that extreme but I definitely wanted to look better and feel stronger down there. I hadn’t really tried any kind of Kegel exercises faithfully, I think the combination of both Genityte and Kegels could have a positive impact on all women. I told my partner that I was having this done and his reaction was very positive. He said anything to make me feel better.

After three Genityte treatments I haven’t noticed any urine leakage since, it has tightened me up. It looks a lot nicer, too, and feels firmer. I think it is a two part thing: one to not feel the discomfort of leaking and to feel tighter like you used to feel before you had kids, more vibrant from the inside and two it is an enhancement. I want women to know that you can truly make it look nicer (not be saggy) and tighter for the intimacy and not have fluid leak. You get better appearance, you don’t have the embarrassment of fluid, but then it also enhances your sexual interaction as well. Good confidence makes you better as a person, you feel better, you enjoy life more, and you have better sexual relationships making your life better.”

Patient Story #5
“After having three kids if I sneeze I have to cross my legs up high and if I am walking I do the cross over and if I am driving I squeeze my legs together. My doctor didn’t talk to me about urinary incontinence after I had babies and I just dealt with it. I already had talked to a bunch of friends and they said now you’re kind of in ‘the club’. I didn’t need to wear pads for it but every once in awhile I’d just catch some leaking mostly with sneezing, laughing and with running and exercise it will just leak a bit. The doctors recommend you do those Kegel exercises to strengthen those muscles and it’s better for sex, so I do those whenever I think of it. My husband was all for me having Genityte treatments. He said if I can make the urinary incontinence better, of course, try for that because he said it would be rough if you can’t even sneeze.

After the first Genityte treatment I felt my urinary incontinence symptoms got better. I felt the biggest difference after the first one then the other two were like maintenance. The biggest thing was that I could stop the stream of urine a lot better than before. If I was peeing I could actually stop it instead of the flood gates are open—you can’t do anything about it. It’s good because if you can stop it when you are in the middle of a stream then you can stop if you are sneezing— you have more control down there. I guess I didn’t have any sneezes so that’s how I tested it out. My urinary incontinence has mostly stopped.

After the first treatment it felt really full on the inside down there and it felt really good. It was easier to orgasm. Overall just good, I can’t pinpoint exactly, just the whole thing kind of felt different. My husband noticed a difference after the first treatment, he felt it was all tighter. He said it was like having sex with a whole new woman, and it was sweet! I know it can be taken in a bad way, though, but he didn’t mean it that way. It was funny. I don’t think people want to write their name down for invasive surgery. If you’re like me and have some issues with urinary incontinence but it’s not real serious, it’s good to know that Genityte’s a really simple, inexpensive minute procedure.”

Patient Story #6
“When you have a baby everything stretches out. Everything’s been stretched out three times because I had three kids. I just wanted it tighter down there. I thought of it as doing it for myself. I thought if it makes your sex life better…why not? I thought of it as an easy way to perk things up a little bit, spice things up, make it interesting. If there were risks I wouldn’t have done it. I think everybody has incontinence issues post partum. Especially right after you have a baby the first year it’s bad and then things kind of tighten up over time, but for the first year I think it’s pretty bad.

Right after I have a kid when I sneeze, I always have to cross my legs. I think every single one of my friends has a little bit of an issue with urinary incontinence. But I just had a mild case. Not huge, but it made me nervous because I have been told about older women who have had problems and how they’ve had to have surgical procedures because the vagina and the bladder are falling. I didn’t notice how much everything had stretched out down there (and not symmetrically) until my first Gentitye when they showed me a picture. Everything was kind of deflated after kids, just like saggy skin.

They showed me the immediately after picture and it did look a lot better. The second time I asked them to show me the before and after pictures, and looks wise I could tell a complete difference from the first time (and it was now symmetrical). That would be great if Genityte could be in every OB/Gyn office. If I were to have another baby I would probably wait 6 months or a year after and have another Genityte procedure. My husband likes the after effects, but he wasn’t the one who wanted me to do it. He totally likes it. He noticed right away, he said it was fuller. About a week after the second treatment I noticed a difference during sex, a feeling of fullness and it was good. I think its increased sensation because it’s fuller. Genityte has totally enhanced my sex life and it solved the other mild incontinence problem.”

Patient Story #7
“Surgery was the only option to help me, so I scheduled to have a “sling”. The downside for me was that after the surgery I would not be able to exercise or do any lifting for up to six weeks. But I had to get back urinary control during exercise because I am a young, active mother who has had to give up running, softball and golfing with my family because of severe leaking. At this point I have to wear a large pad – even during light exercise. Shortly after I scheduled the surgery a friend told me about Genityte™. I was so excited. You bet I wanted a non-surgical option for treatment with no lifting or exercise restrictions afterwards and no recovery time. After three Genityte™ procedures I got back 100% of my urinary control and the freedom to run, golf and play softball with my children. I am so happy and grateful to be back to me. Genityte™ has virtually no risks. I have recommended Genityte™ to my sisters, my mother and all of my close friends.”

Patient Story #8
“No way would I have surgery for stress incontinence, it scared me. However, when I understood that I could get the help that I needed without surgery, I didn’t hesitate to have the Genityte™ procedure. Leaking urine when my bladder was full and dribbling urine right after urinating were my main symptoms. I also had tissue starting to prolapse (a cystocoele) and a hemorrhoid that had bothered me off and on for 20 years since pregnancy. After the second Genityte™ procedure the leaking completely stopped. After the third Genityte™ procedure my cystocoele was fully treated and the prolapsing tissue was back in place and the hemorrhoid of 20 years flattened out and disappeared . I ended up getting help for three problems from Genityte™ and I am back to exercising and jumping now that the prolapsing tissue is supported again.”

Patient Story #9
“The urge to go was so strong and so frequent that when I felt the urge I had to stop everything and find a bathroom immediately. The urge woke me up an average of three times every night. If I was shopping at the mall, in one afternoon I would visit the bathroom up to eight times for my urges, but each time only a small amount would come out. After two Genityte™ treatments, the urges became less intense and less frequent. I could hold through the urge and let the urge pass most of the time. My nighttime urges stopped. Six months after my first two Genityte™ treatments I decided to have a third Genityte™ treatment and this helped even more. The intensity of the urges was greatly reduced and my ability to hold through the urges got even better. Now, after Genityte, when I have to go it is because I actually have a full bladder. Urge incontinence had made me so dependent on having access to a bathroom that it affected what I could do socially. What a change in my life to be without that burden! My whole family and all of my friends are no longer inconvenienced and I am so , so appreciative.”

Patient Story #10
“A woman learns what activities she has to give up after childbirth, like jumping rope, jumping on a trampoline, running and jarring movements. Bracing yourself or crossing your legs before a cough or a sneeze becomes a must to avoid leaking. It wasn’t until I had the Genityte™ treatments and got back urinary control that I realized that there was a long list of things I had given up over the years to avoid the embarrassment and hassle of leaking. But after Genityte™ I no longer leak on my way to the bathroom with a full bladder or leak or dribble immediately after I urinate. I can run, do jumping jacks, play basketball, ski, golf and just hold it a lot longer if I need to without accidents. I feel younger and free from the burden and my fitness level has gone up too. I can do high impact exercise again and I can do Kegel exercises now that my tone is so much improved. I know Kegel’s are important for keeping the tone strong for the rest of my life. Because I never want to go back to leaking, I plan to be faithful with the Kegel exercises for the rest of my life.”

Genityte Patient Spouse Story:
A written testimonial from the husband of a Genityte patient “Dr Julie, I wanted to take moment and tell you how much confidence you have given my wife with your Genityte procedure. I sat in during the procedure to comfort my wife - but not once did she mention any pain, outside the heating sensation she said she occasionally felt. And she felt no immediate or long term discomfort. She was also very excited to put the results of the procedure to trial in the bedroom. Definite increased sensitivity, all around increased pleasure. Our intimacy has increased. Thanks again Dr Julie, your Genityte procedure has had a positive result on my wife and my relationship.”
